On 6 – 8 September 2012, our large group visited the 16th Czech and Slovak Congress of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine in Brno. This year, Jan Trka, Prof., Jan Zuna, Ondrej Hrusak, Ester Mejstrikova, Ivana Hermanova, Jana Volejnikova, Olga Zimmermannova, Lucie Slamova, Michaela Novakova and Kamila Polgarova participated indirectly on a photograph and Ondrej Hrusak participated actually. We were supported by Eva Fronkova and Julia Starkova. In the educational section, Jan Trka, Prof., Ondrej Hrusak and Ester Mejstrikova held their lectures about the news in ALL and AML. Jan Zuna looked into the crystal ball and tried to predict how the situation will look like in 2022.
After the lectures marathon, we were rewarded by a dinner and a city sightseeing of Brno at night with a trip to the Tugendhat villa (this time just from the outside, we hope to see the interiors in the future as well) and an interesting talk about its history.
