First Conference
46th International Society for Experimental Hematology conference (24.8-27.8, Frankfurt) was my first scientific experience outside of the laboratory. I had very high expectations about what the event was going to be like. Even so, this conference went far beyond what I expected.
I felt part of the scientific community and absorbed by all the knowledge that was breathed in the air. I mean, ideas and new hypotheses that impressed me. In addition, there was also the opportunity to listen to the research of famous scientists of our time.
I must admit that there were so much new information and so many issues that I went through a saturation moment. The situation was solved with the social event, which was a lot of fun.
The walk through the posters was very enriching. Not only for the advances that were exposed but also because it was inspiring for my project. I was able to talk to other doctoral students working on something similar, and their suggestions were very enlightening to some inconveniences that are emerging. On the other hand, most of them were in hematopoiesis field.
Without a doubt, experiences like this make me realize that I chose correctly my career. It was amazing, and I am excited about the idea of participating in my next conference, where I will show the results of my project.Without a doubt, experiences like this make me realize that I chose correctly my career.
