The 21st EuroMRD meeting was held in Rotterdam (the Netherlands) on 6 - 9 November 2011 and was followed by the International MRD symposium. Our CLIPers Prof. Jan Trka and Eliska Streitova were among the participants. The first 2 days of the meeting were concentrated on the quality check - a comparison of the results from different labs and a discussion about the future processes for quality assurance. The MRD symposium then summed up the actual findings and successes, as well as the perspective of a future employment of MRD for ALL, lymphomas and CML. There was also a presentation of the existing data from High Throughput Sequencing.
Unfortunately, the weather didn't quite allowed us to see the full beauty of Rotterdam, however, we still enjoyed the city view from the Euromast tower.
